Trango Systems Introduces the New Altum AC™

Trango Systems has added the high-capacity Altum AC to its product lineup of wireless solutions based upon 802.11ac technology. The Altum AC is a ruggedized, all-outdoor wireless radio system that operates in the new FCC UNII 1 band (5.15 to 5.25 GHz) and the 5.4 to 5.85 GHz world wide license free bands.
Aggregate capacity up to 600 Mbps is achieved through the use of 256 QAM and 80 MHz 2×2 MIMO channels. The Altum AC offers outstanding flexibility for a wide variety of network configurations including point-to-point (PtP) applications and/or point-to-multipoint (PtmP) applications. Both PtP and PtmP deployments can be configured with integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi hotspots. Four antenna form factors are available to support omni, sector, integral panel, and dish antennas.

Other key features for the Altum AC include PoE on either of the 2 Gigabit Ethernet WAN+LAN ports, hardware based AES128 Encryption, and high transmit power/receive sensitivity. The flexibility of the Altum AC allows it to be used in many wireless applications including WISP, Security/Video Surveillance, Enterprise, Campus Connectivity and many more.
