Trango System’s Licensed Microwave Products Accepted by the USDA Telecommunications Standards Committee
November 10 , 2009 –Trango Systems, Inc., leading global provider of high-capacity point-to-point wireless backhaul solutions, announced today that their American-made TrangoLINK Apex™, TrangoLINK Giga™ and TrangoLINK-45™ solutions have been accepted by the Technical Standards Committee “A”- Telecommunications for inclusion in the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) List of Materials. With USDA RUS acceptance, Trango’s Apex, Giga and TrangoLINK-45 product families can be purchased with RUS loans and grants.

Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Rural Utilities Service supports the expansion of broadband service in rural areas through financing and grants to projects that provide access to high speed service and facilitate economic development in locations without sufficient access to such service.
The newly approved Trango wireless backhaul products join the family of previously approved Trango fixed wireless broadband access products. The TrangoLINK Apex™ is an all-outdoor point-to-point IP-native bridge. This carrier-class RF microwave link is available in licensed frequencies 11, 15, 18 and 23GHz for interference-free operation. TrangoLINK Giga™ is a point-to-point wireless bridge that utilizes a split-mount architecture that includes on outdoor unit (ODU) and an indoor (IDU). TrangoLINK Giga™, available in 6, 11, 15, 18 and 23GHz models, provides high capacity wireless IP connectivity for mobile and fixed wireless technologies including UMTS, 3G, 4G, LTE, WiMAX, Wi-Fi and more. The TrangoLINK-45™ is a 5GHz wireless Ethernet bridge that delivers 45 Mbps of sustained usable data throughput using OFDM technology.
